Prof. Dr. Zhixiong Xie is a professor and deputy dean of the School of Life Sciences at Wuhan University, where he earned a Master's degree in Zoology and a Doctorate in Genetics. He received a postdoctoral degree from the Institute of Basic Science, Chonbuk National University, Republic of Korea. From 2013 to 2017, he was a member of the Experimental Teaching Steering Committee of the Higher Education Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. His main research areas and interests include the natural genetic transformation mechanism of bacteria, the interaction mechanism between bacteria and the host, inorganic nanobiosynthesis, and the biological effects of nanomaterials.
Prof. Dr. Jun Wang currently serves as a professor in the Department of Biomedicine at Hubei University of Technology and director of the International Research Center for Big Health and Precision Medicine and Nutrition. After receiving her PhD in chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University, she carried out postdoctoral research and associate researcher research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and later joined Pharmaceuticals International Inc., in the USA, which is engaged in research and development of new drugs.
