Author Biographies

She has a degree in Biology from the National University of San Juan, Argentina. She obtained a doctorate in Biological Sciences-National University of Cuyo, in 2018. After having completed her doctoral and postdoctoral scholarship, in 2022 she joined CONICET as an Assistant Researcher at the Anchipurac Environmental Center. Secretary of State for Environment and Sustainable Development. Government of San Juan. Research line: Monitoring of greenhouse gases in the urban area of San Juan through satellite images. Her doctoral thesis and her postdoctoral thesis are based on the field of urban ecology, conservation of biological diversity, sustainable use of natural resources. In addition, she carries out teaching tasks as a Full Professor of the Experimental Design chair and a professor of practical work in the Ecology of Organisms and Populations chair of the Lic. En Cs. Biological - UNSJ. She provides technical advice for the Secretary of the Environment of the province of San Juan, teaches postgraduate courses, and directs research projects, scholarships and interns. Currently, her line of research focuses on monitoring, modeling and environmental management of air quality, based on the integration of satellite data, field measurements, statistical analysis and advanced image processing techniques. The long-term objective is to detect environmental problems in time and propose mitigation and adaptation measures.
