Dr. Sara Perteghella currently serves as the Senior Researcher at the University of Pavia. She graduated from the University of Pavia in 2011. In 2015, she received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and
Technologies, University of Pavia. Furthermore, she was a postdoctoral fellow and a research associate at the Department of Drug Sciences of the University of Pavia in the same year. In addition, since 2011, Sara Perteghella has been a Teaching Assistant in Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology and Law. Her research interests mainly include issue regeneration mediated by mesenchymal stem cells and their extracellular vesicles, the development of drug delivery systems based on extracellular vesicles for controlled release of active pharmaceutical ingredients, the development of micro and nano drug delivery systems to improve the therapeutic efficacy of bioactive molecules and development of three-dimensional scaffolds for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications.
