Prof. Dr. Yang Tian is an outbound postdoctoral fellow at the Swedish National Metallurgical Research Institute. He is currently the deputy director of the Party Committee Office of Kunming University of Science and Technology, and he concurrently serves as the deputy director of the school’s Stability Office and Confidentiality Office. He is also the director of the Yunnan Aluminum Industry Engineering Research Center. He once served as the deputy director of the school’s Science and Technology Institute and the deputy secretary-general of the school’s academic committee. He was selected for the Yunnan Province “Revitalizing Dian Talent Support Plan” Industrial Innovation Talent and the Yunnan Province Young Talent Promotion Project. He is a member of the American TMS Association and the Magnesium Technology Committee, and a director of the Magnesium Branch of the Chinese Materials Society. His main research directions are non-ferrous metal vacuum metallurgy, high-purity metal material preparation, and secondary resource recycling. He has chaired national key research and development plan sub-projects, national funds, Yunnan Province major science and technology special projects, and Chinese Academy of Engineering key consulting projects. The company has more than 20 horizontal and other projects and has 10 authorized invention patents.
