Datta V. Gaitonde is a professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Ohio State University and the John Glenn Chair for Technology and Space Exploration at the Academic Affairs Administration. He received his PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, USA. He has diverse research interests, including shock/turbulent interactions, jet noise, hypersonic transition, flow control, bluff body flows, scramjet flow paths, and algorithm development. He is the recipient of several awards and a fellow of the Air Force Research Laboratory, ASME, and AIAA.
