Iva Slavova was born in Levski, Bulgaria in 1986. She graduated in Chemistry from Plovdiv University ”Paisii Hilendarski” in 2009 and received a master's degree in Medical Chemistry in 2010. She joined the research group of Assoc. Prof. Maria Stoyanova from the Department of Physical Chemistry at the University of Plovdiv Paisii Hilendarski and received a doctorate in 2017. In 2019 she joined the Department of Chemical Sciences at the Medical University of Plovdiv as Аssistant Professor of Organic Chemistry and was promoted to Chief Assistant in 2020. Her research interests are extraction and purification of biologically active substances from natural sources, their characterization and study of their properties with a view to their application for prevention and support of the therapy of certain diseases.
Teodora Tomova graduated in Medical Chemistry from Plovdiv University”Paisii Hilendarski” in 2015 and received a master's degree in Spectrochemical Analysis in 2016. She successfully defended her PhD thesis in 2021. Teodora currently works as a Chief Assistant Professor in Organic Chemistry at the Medical University of Plovdiv. Her research interests are extraction and purification of biologically active substances from natural sources, their characterization and study of their properties with a view to their application for prevention and support of the therapy of certain diseases.
Mariana Argirova is a Professor, DSc in Organic Chemistry at the Medical University of Plovdiv, Faculty of Pharmacy.
