Prof. Kifle G. Gebremedhin is an International Professor Emeritus of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. He is an elected Fellow of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, a Faculty Fellow of the Cornell Institute of Food Science, the Atkinson Center for Sustainable Future, and a member of various honor societies. He is the recipient of over 30 major national awards, including teaching excellence, research, computer software development, service, and leadership. He has been inducted into the Rural Builder Hall of Fame by the National Rural Builder Magazine and is listed in Who is Who in the East by Marquis. His research is on animal thermal stress physiology, modeling animal bioenergetics (heat and mass transfer), engineering livestock thermal environments, post-frame design and construction, and diaphragm design in post-frame buildings. Dr. Gebremedhin has published more than 250 journal articles and research conference papers.
Dr. Daniel Uyeh is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering of Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, USA. His research focuses on livestock feed systems, climate-smart agriculture, artificial intelligence (AI) applications in agriculture, sensing systems, and system modeling. Dr. Uyeh has contributed to these areas with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and registered patents.
