Author Biographies

Dr. Seydmahdi Miraftabzadeh is an assistant professor at the Department of Energy, University of Bergamo. He obtained his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Bergamo in 2017 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Bergamo in 2021. His research interests lie in machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and stochastic optimization and their applications to electric mobility, transportation networks, and power systems.
Prof. Michela Longo is an associate professor and a researcher at the Department of Energy, University of Bergamo, and a member of AEIT (Italian Electric Association). She received her Ph.D. in Mechatronics, Information, Innovative Technologies, and Mathematical Methods at the Department of Engineering of the University of Bergamo, Bergamo, Italy, in 2013. Her research focuses on Electric Power Systems, Electric Traction, and Mechatronics and her research interest includes Innovative technologies, in particular Friction Stir Welding and Friction Stir Spot Welding, and the study of their impact environment (this technology is studied in particular in the railway sector); Metallographic and analysis for aluminum alloys, Size of grain; Assessment of product quality through statistical analysis and Power Quality and her disturbances (voltage dips, THDs, swells, interruptions).
