Grzegorz Brus received his Ph.D. (Hons.) in 2011 and his D.Sc. (Hons.) in 2019 in Energy Engineering from AGH University of Krakow, Poland. He conducted the experimental part of his Ph.D. program under the bilateral agreement at Shibaura Insititute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. After working for a year as a faculty member at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels, he became a research fellow of the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science. He moved to the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Kyoto University, where he stayed for over two years. In 2014 he returned to AGH University of Science and Technology, where he recently worked as an associate professor. Dr. Brus has authored or co-authored over hundred peer-reviewed articles in journals and international conferences. He is a laureate of the FIRST TEAM program of the Foundation for Polish Science and was awarded a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland for research excellence. His current research interests include mathematical modeling, evolutionary computing, multi-objective optimization, and artificial neural networks and their applications in distributed energy systems.
