Dr. Fatemeh Jafari is a distinguished figure affiliated with the MOH Consortium at Zanjan University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Specializing in therapeutics, she contributes significantly to advancing
medical knowledge and patient care. Dr. Jafari, holding the esteemed titles of M.D. and Ph.D., embarked on her medical journey at Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, where she graduated with distinction in general medicine. Demonstrating a passion for specialized knowledge, she earned her Ph.D. in the
field of Persian medicine from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2021. Since 2021, Dr. Jafari has served as an Assistant Professor at Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, imparting knowledge to aspiring medical professionals. Her leadership extends to the role of Head at the Zanjan Applied Pharmacology Research Center, where she has pioneered innovative research initiatives since 2022. She has concurrently served as a member of the Ethics Committee at Zanjan University of Medical
Sciences since 2022.
Dr. Salvatore D’Alessandro is a recently graduated Radiation Oncologist from the University of Palermo. During his training period, he visited as Clinical Observer the European Institute of Oncology in Milan and the Advanced Radiation Oncology Department in Negrar (VR), Italy. His main areas of interest are gynecological malignancies, head&neck cancer and neuro-oncology
Dr. Giuseppe Carruba earned, from the University of Palermo, his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (1982) and his Master’s degree in
General Pathology (1987). He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the
University of Glasgow in 1995. From 1989 to 2016, he served as a Research
Director at the Department of Oncology, A.R.N.A.S. Ospedale Civico Palermo. Now
he is the Head of the Internationalization and Health Research Service (SIRS)
and the Vice-President of the DIAITA Society for Lifestyles. His skills and expertise
include Estrogens, Steroids, Endocrine Disruption, Metabolism, Molecular
Endocrinology, Reproductive Endocrinology, Testosterone, Oncology, Reproductive
Biology and Neuroendocrinology.
Dr. Giuseppe Craparo received his Ph.D. in Medicine from the
University of Palermo in 2003. Now he is the director of Neuroradiology at the
Arnas Civico of Palermo and is the youngest director of Neuroradiology
in Italy. He trained abroad and, from there, learned new techniques in the
treatment of neurovascular pathologies. He returned to Sicily in 2012, certainly
enriched by a wealth of experience that has allowed him to
learn innovative techniques in the treatment of neurovascular pathologies.
Today, together with his team, he has become a point of reference for the
treatment of ischemic stroke, malformation, and cerebral aneurysm pathologies.
Dr. Giovanni Tringali received his Ph.D. in Neurosurgery
from the Neurosurgery University of Catania, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, in 2004. Now he is the Director of the Neurosurgery department of the Palermo Civic Hospital. He was awarded second
best presentation at the AANS (American Association of Neurological Surgeons) meeting and awarded for the best oral presentation at the 1st International Congress on Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery. He is also a member of the Italian Neurosurgery Society (SINCH), the European Association of Neurosurgeons (EANS) in the Functional Surgery Section, and the Scientific and Steering Committee of the
Paolo Zozi ONLUS Foundation for Neurosciences and the Epilepsy Program—EpiCare.
Dr. Livio Blasi received his Ph.D. in Oncology from the University of Genoa in 1991. From 2013 to 2015, he served as an acting director of the UOC Oncohaematology and Oncology Surgery Unit at the ARNAS Civic Hospital of Palermo. From 2015 to 2019, he served as an Interim Director at the UOC Oncohaematology ARNAS Civico of Palermo. Now, he is the director of the complex operational unit of medical oncology of the Arnas of the Palermo Civic Hospital, and president of CIPOMO, the Italian college of primary oncologists
hospital doctors.
Dr. Giuseppe Ferrera received his Master’s Degree from the University of Brescia in 2018. From 1999 to 2003, he worked as a Radiation Oncologist at the Ospedla Maria Paternò Arezzo-Ragusa. From 2003 to 2016, he served as a Radiation Oncologist at the A.R.N.A.S. Ospedale Civico Palermo. Now, he teaches Radiotherapy at the specialization School, the University of Palermo.
