Dr. José Luis Maldonado-García is a surgeon who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, UNAM, and has a Master of Science with a specialty in Immunology from the National School of Biological Sciences (ENCB) of the IPN. He is currently involved in the ENCB's Doctorate in Immunology program. He is a professor of the subject of immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, professor of immunology with a specialty in clinical pathology at the National Medical Center Siglo XXI, IMSS, and a guest professor of the immunology course of the master's program in Medical Sciences at the Higher School of IPN Medicine. He was a student in the psychoimmunology laboratory of the National Institute of Psychiatry. He is an honorary member and director of the neuroimmunoendocrinology research department of the Mexican Council of Neurosciences. He has spoken at various conferences nationally and internationally on immunology and neuroimmunoendocrine interactions.
Dr. Manuel Iván Girón-Pérez currently works as a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Nayaritdisabled, Tepic, Mexico. He is also employed by Academia Nacional de Medicina de México
and Academia Mexicana de Ciencias in Mexico City, Mexico. He is a National Research System Member (Level 3) of CONACyT, and a Member of the Mexican Academy of Medicine and Mexican Academy of Sciences. His research interests include SARS-CoV-2, toxicity, and leukocytes.
