Luís Miguel Mendes Ferreira is an Associate Professor at the School of Agrarian and Veterinary Sciences, Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. He received his Zootechnique Engineering degree, Master’s degree, and Ph.D. in Animal Science from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 1997, 2002, and 2007. He was a Senior Research Scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation from November 2012 to June 2013.
Irene Fraga is a Superior Technician at CITAB—the Centre for the Research and Technology
of Agro-Environment and Biological Sciences, Universidade de Tras-os-Montes e
Alto Douro, Vila Real, Portugal. She graduated in Biochemistry and received her
Master’s degree from Universidade de Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 2012 and
2016. She was a Technical Assistant at Universidade de Tras-os-Montes e Alto
Douro from 1982 to 2019.
José Luís Mourão has been President of the School of Agricultural and Veterinary
Sciences, UTAD since 2021. From 2013 to 2017, he was Pro-Rector for Pedagogical
Organization and from 2017 to 2021, he was Vice-Rector for Teaching at UTAD. He
previously held the position of Director of the Department of Animal Science at
this institution. In academic terms, he is an Associate Professor with
aggregation at UTAD, having completed his PhD and aggregation exams in the
field of Animal Science. He has published several scientific articles in
national and international journals and participated in various extension and
research projects. He is a member of the Center for Animal and Veterinary
Science.
Miguel António Machado Rodrigues holds a Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition from the Universidade
de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (1999). He is currently a contracted Professor at
the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, a member of the editorial board
of Revista Portuguesa de Zootecnia, a journal reviewer for Animal Feed Science
and Technology (Print), and a journal reviewer for the Journal of the Science
of Food and Agriculture. He has experience in Animal Science. He works mainly
on the following subjects: Ruminants and Nutrition.
