Dr. Thomas Treumann has been working as the Co-Chief Physician of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and Deputy Chief Physician at the LUKS since 2009. After completing his studies in Aachen (Germany), he completed his radiology training in Munich from 1991 to 1996. Between 1996 and 1999, he was a senior physician at the Klinikum rechts der Isar der Technischen Universität München (Germany). He joined the LUKS in 1999 and headed the MRI Diagnostics Department as a senior physician and since 2002 as head physician. Since 2021, he has been teaching as part of the Joint Medical Master at the University of Lucerne. His focus is on MRI and CT diagnostics, paired with profound PACS/IT knowledge.
Prof. Dr. Michael Christ has been the Chief Physician of the Emergency Center at LUKS Lucerne since 1 February 2017. After completing his medical studies, he obtained his doctorate in 1993 at the University of Munich on questions of cardiac microcirculatory changes under volatile anesthetics. In 2000, he completed his habilitation at the University of Heidelberg. In 2009 he was appointed Associate Professor at the Philipps University of Marburg. He received his clinical training in internal medicine, cardiology, and emergency and intensive care medicine in Munich, Mannheim, Marburg, and Basel. From 2009 to 2017, he was Head of the Clinic for Emergency and Internal Intensive Care Medicine at Nuremberg Hospital. His scientific focus is on clinical experimental issues relating to acute cardiac care. Together with his team, he has successfully published scientific papers on emergency medical issues relating to syncope, acute coronary syndrome, acute heart failure, and pulmonary embolism in internationally recognized journals.
