Author Biographies

Ancuța-Mihaela ACIU is an electromechanical engineer by profession, a graduate of the Faculty of Electromechanics - University of Craiova. She is a PhD student at the Doctoral School Electrical and Energy Engineering - University of Craiova. She is currently an employee of the National Institute for Research-Development and Testing for Electrical Engineering - ICMET Craiova, with the position of Scientific Researcher III. The research of interest consists in techniques and methods for monitoring, maintenance and diagnosis of the operating condition of high power transformers. Also, the improvement and/or determination of some techniques, methods, materials that lead to the prolongation of the life of the high power transformation units.
Sorin Enache received his Engineering degree and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Craiova, Romania, in 1990 and 2001, respectively. He is currently a Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the University of Craiova. His research interests mainly focus on induction motors, brushless DC motors, reluctance motors, and synchronous motors.
Maria-Cristina Nițu obtained her master's degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the University of Craiova in 2011 and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Craiova in 2020. She is a scientific researcher at the the National Institute for Research, Development and Testing for Electrical Engineering, ICMET Craiova. Her research interests mainly focus on the diagnosis and maintenance of power transformers, methods for monitoring their operating status, and methods and techniques for extending the life of power transformers.
