Xiaopeng Qi is a professor at China Automotive Battery Research Institute Co., Ltd. He obtained his B.S. in Applied Physics from Northwestern Polytechnical University (China) in 2008 and received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2013. His research interests include the safety and failure mechanisms of Li-ion batteries and the electrochemical synthesis of energy storage and conversion materials.
Jiantao Wang currently serves as the Deputy General Manager of China Automotive Battery Research Institute Co., Ltd. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2006 and received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2013. He entered Beijing General Research Institute of Non-ferrous Metals in July 2011 and worked at China Automotive Battery Research Institute Co., Ltd. serving as an engineer (2011.7~), a senior engineer (2013.11~), and a professor-level senior engineer (2017.11~). His research directions include 1. materials and technologies for lithium-ion batteries and 2. materials and technologies for new system batteries.
