Prof. Dr. Martina Müller, MHBA, is the Head of the Department for Internal Medicine I, University Hospital Regensburg (since 2012). She graduated and obtained her medical license from Heidelberg University. She completed her PostDoc at the German Cancer Research Center during 1996–1998. From 1990 to 2012, she worked as a Medical Doctor and served as the Deputy Medical Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Heidelberg. She is also set to become the Head of United European Gastroenterology in 2023. She holds the distinction of being the first full professor in Germany to chair a department in gastroenterology. She specializes in internal medicine and gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology, and infectiology.
