Mohit Kumar is a PhD scholar and research assistant in the Indian Council of Medical Research-sponsored project at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda, India, with a remarkable four-year research background in pharmaceutical sciences and drug delivery. Mohit has dedicated his expertise to addressing the global concern of burn-related wound infections, affecting approximately 11 million people globally every year. His prolific academic journey includes the authorship of 8 book chapters and 42 publications, published in high-impact science journals. His outstanding contributions have earned him prestigious accolades such as the Young Researcher Award at an international conference in Pondicherry (India, 2023) and the Best Paper Award at ICONICA 2020 India. He has been recognized by the CENTRAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE FOUNDATION of Argentina for a groundbreaking paper focused on perfumes. He is a member of the reviewer’s boards of various prestigious journals.

Dr. Yi Ge is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Queen’s University Belfast, UK. He obtained his MPhil in Pharmacy from Aston University in 2001 and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Sheffield in 2003. He worked as a Research Scientist at Innovata PLC in 2003–2004 and then as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Imperial College London in 2005–2006. He then worked at Cranfield University from 2006 to 2015 before he joined the Queen’s University Belfast in 2016. Dr. Ge has extensive research experience in academia and the pharmaceutical industry and has received comprehensive training in different areas of pharmaceutical science, including pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, therapeutics and medicinal chemistry. His research further involves a great deal of collaboration with Institutes/Universities, NHS/hospitals and industry in the fields of pharmaceutical science and biomedical science, both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Syed Mahmood completed a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy in 2011 and a Master’s in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) in 2013. He also holds a post-graduate diploma in Pharmaceutical Drug Regulatory Affairs. In 2014, he started his Ph.D. and completed it in 2017. His Ph.D. research was on drug delivery and technologies. After his Ph.D., he worked at University Malaysia Pahang as a senior lecturer teaching in the pharmaceutical engineering department. His specialization is in pharmaceutical technology and engineering areas, including drug delivery animal models, analytical chemistry (LC-MS, HPLC), wound healing studies (hydrogel and nanofibers), and system validation and qualification. Currently, he works at Universiti Malaya in the Pharmacy Faculty, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology.
