Dr. Abhinav Bhushan currently works as an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He graduated with Honors from the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in 1998. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University. He obtained his M.S. in Advanced Study in Clinical Research from the University of California, Davis in 2010. He holds membership in the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES). He was the recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2023. His lab is interested in using microfluidics and microfabrication to engineer tissues, as well as to develop sensors for chemical and biochemical measurements.
