Prof. Dr. Wei Xu is an Associate Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University. He served as a Visiting Scholar at the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Melbourne from September 2019 to September 2020. Prior to this, he held the position of Lecturer from July 2017 to July 2020. Dr. Xu earned his Ph.D. in Geological Resources and Geological Engineering from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2017. His research interests encompass thermal regimes of sedimentary basins, the exploration and development of geothermal resources, lithospheric structure thermal evolution, and geodynamic numerical simulation.
