Dr. Evgeny A. Ermakov graduated from the Biomedical Faculty of the Siberian State Medical University (Tomsk, Russia) with a degree in medical biochemistry in 2013. He worked as a research laboratory assistant (from 2011 to 2017), as well as a junior researcher (from 2017 to 2018) in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry, Mental Health Research Institute (Tomsk). In 2013, he entered the graduate school of the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ICBFM SB RAS, Novosibirsk, Russia). Since 2014, he has been a senior lecturer at the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Novosibirsk State University (Novosibirsk). In 2020, he received his Ph.D. in biology (specialty in biochemistry). At present, he is a researcher at the Laboratory of Repair Enzymes of the ICBFM SB RAS. His fields of research are biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, and molecular neuroscience. He is currently researching the role of immune dysregulation in the pathogenesis of mental and neurodegenerative disorders.
