Dr. Dominik Żyro is an assistant professor at the Department of Bioinorganic Chemistry at the Medical University of Lodz. He graduated from Lodz University of Technology in 2004 as a drug synthesis engineer and graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the National University of Kharkiv in 2018 as a pharmacist. In 2020-2021, he completed postgraduate studies at the Medical University of Poznań. He obtained his PhD from the Medical University of Lodz in 2022. He won two first-degree awards and second- and third-degree awards for a series of publications. His interests include pharmacy, medicinal chemistry, silver, organometallic complexes and azoles. He is a practicing pharmacist in a pharmacy and a supervisor of students who introduces them to the secrets of the profession. He is particularly interested in activities related to the production of pharmaceutical forms of medicines. Additionally, he is a specialist in pharmaceutical care in geriatrics.
