Violetta Insolia is a Contract Professor at Alma Mater Europaea teaching ‘Biochemistry and Microbiology’, and at the University of Naples. Violetta Insolia is a Biologist with a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Pavia (five years). She won a fellowship for the PhD in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology (three years) and a second fellowship for a Master’s degree in Nutraceutical Products (1 year), followed by a Marketing Executive Course at SDA Bocconi (one year). Her personal and professional background is enriched by abroad experiences in the neurobiology and molecular laboratory at Max Plank Institute in Heidelberg, and at the APC (University College of Cork) studying gut microbiota. She also works as a Business Development Manager in Active Srl in the field of active ingredients for nutraceuticals, food and beverage, and cosmetics. She is an author of scientific papers and a speaker at international conferences.
Dr. Vincenzo Zaccaria is currently the Head of Research and Development of Bionap srl, an Italian company that develops natural active ingredients for nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and feed. After earning a master's degree (five years) in biology from the University of Pavia, he obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (3 years) and completed two master's courses in nutrition and dietary supplements (2 years each) from the University of Pavia. He worked for a decade as a Researcher and Technical and Scientific Director for nutraceutical companies and taught courses at the Universities of Milan, Pavia, and Naples. He has also authored scientific articles related to in vitro, in vivo, and clinical studies. He is a speaker at national and international conferences and congresses and a referee for peer-reviewed journals.
