Dr. Alan G. Goodman is Associate Professor at the School of Molecular Biosciences, Washington State University. He earned his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and his Ph.D.
in Bioengineering from the University of Washington. His thesis focused on
translational control of influenza virus infection. He completed post-doctoral
training in Microbiology and Immunology at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología
in Madrid, Spain, and the University of Miami, where he studied influenza virus
vaccines and innate immunity. He started his faculty position at Washington
State University in 2014. His research interests are flaviviruses, Coxiella
burnetii, Drosophila melanogaster, insulin signaling, and STING.
