Prof. Dr. Bernard Cosyns is the past president of the EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging). He also is a board member of the European Society of Cardiology, Brussels (Belgium) (2020–present), UZB: ERN Guard Heart center a steering committee; member of the ESC Valvular Heart Disease Survey (VHD II) since 2016. Currently, he is Head of the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases at University Hospital Brussels, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Brussels, Belgium.
Dr. Maria-Luiza Luchian works at the University Clinics of Mont-Godinne, CHU Namur, Yvoir (Belgium) (2022–present). Recently she was nominated as Professor at Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium. She is a member of the EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging) and the European Society of Cardiology and Heart Failure Association. Her research topics of interest comprise innovation in cardiac imaging, including structural heart procedures, and heart failure associated with cardiomyopathies and cardiotoxicity. She is also a co-founder of the JWIC-Walloon Cardiac Imaging Day and RWIC ASBL—Walloon Network of Innovation in Cardiology (2023–present).She serves as a board member of Belgian Working Group on Non Invasive Cardiac Imaging.
