Dr. Jovana Kos is a senior research associate and head at the Center for Food Chemistry and Safety of the Institute of Food Technology, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Her research is mainly focused on food and feed quality and safety, with a special focus on chemical contaminant mycotoxins, the development of analytical methods for mycotoxin determination, mitigation measures, mycotoxin occurrence concerning climate change, and risk assessment. Her scientific expertise is documented through many published and reviewed scientific journals and multiple international movements. She was a manager of one international multilateral project. She has been a member of numerous scientific, executive, and organizing committees and an invited lecturer at several scientific congresses. She has more than 15 years of experience in the accredited laboratory for food technology, quality and safety, FINSLab, as a head and technical coordinator of the Department of Instrumental Analysis.
Dr. Pavle Jovanov is a Scientific advisor at the Institute of Food Technology in Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia. He graduated from the Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection in 2008 and received his MSc at the Faculty of Technology, Novi Sad in 2010 and his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection in 2014. His research area includes food and feed safety.
Dr. Bojana Šarić is a senior research associate at the Institute of Food Technology in Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia. She received her M.Sc. in Technology Engineering at the Faculty of Technology Novi Sad in 2007 and her Ph.D. in Technology Engineering at the Faculty of Technology Novi Sad in 2016. She participated in a large number of international and national projects and author and co-author of several technical solutions. She is the quality assurance manager of an accredited FINSLab laboratory, with many years of experience in managing the department for instrumental analysis. Her research interests include isolation, characterization, and application of nutraceuticals.
Dr. Jelka Pleadin is a Master of Biotechnological Engineering, with a PhD in Biotechnical Sciences. She
is a Scientific Advisor and the Head of the Laboratory for Analytical Chemistry at the Croatian Veterinary Institute Zagreb, as well as an Associate Professor, lecturing graduates and postgraduates at the University of Zagreb, Osijek, and Mostar. Her research is devoted to the development and application of
analytical methods of detection and quantification of residues of forbidden substances; pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and toxic effects of different contaminates; and food quality investigations. She has completed much professional training in Analytical Toxicology and has presented her research at several scientific congresses and expert meetings. She currently acts in the capacity of Chief Project Coordinator and team member of several national and international scientific and expert projects concerned with food quality, safety, and authenticity. She has been a member of numerous scientific and organizing committees and an invited lecturer at several national and international scientific meetings. She was awarded the 2016 National Science Award in recognition of her outstanding achievements in the field of
Biotechnical Sciences.
