Ioanna Aggeletopoulou holds a degree in Biology from the University of Patras, Greece (2012), an M.Sc. in Basic Medical Sciences from the University of Patras, Greece (2014), and a Ph.D. in Molecular Immunology from the University of Patras, Greece (2019). She is a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Immunohematology, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Patras (2019 to present). Moreover, she is working as a research associate in the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Internal Medicine, University Hospital of Patras, Greece. She has worked as a university aeaching assistant (2020 to present) in the postgraduate studies program "Biomedical Sciences", Medical School, University of Patras, as laboratory assistant (2014 to 2019) in the course “Introduction in Laboratory Haematology”, Medical School, University of Patras, and she has taught “Biochemistry” at the Public Vocational Training Institute (D.I.E.K.) in the specialty "Pharmacy Assistant". She participates in the editorial team of the Scientific Journal Achaiki Iatriki, as assistant editorial manager (2020 to present), and she has possessed the role of clinical research coordinator in 12 clinical trials. Lastly, she has been trained as an ADVANCED BD FACSARIA™ operator in Becton Dickinson (BD) Company, Belgium (2021).
Christos Triantos graduated from the Medical School of Ioannina, Greece. In 2002, he acquired the specialty of gastroenterology at Evaggelismos Hospital, Athens, Greece. In 2003, he received a scholarship from the Greek Association for the Study of the Liver for training at the Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Unit, Royal Free Hospital, London, UK. In 2004, he worked as a scientific associate in the Gastroenterology Department of Polikliniki Hospital, Athens, as a fellow of the Professional Association of Gastroenterologists. In 2005, he received his Ph.D. from the Medical School of the University of Athens, Greece. From 2005–2017, he served as a consultant gastroenterologist in Greek NHS. In 2010, he became a fellow of the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. In July 2017, he was elected as an assistant professor in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University of Patras, while, in February 2022, he assumed the duties of associate professor. His research interest is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with liver diseases, idiopathic inflammatory bowel diseases, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and motility disorders of the digestive system. In addition, he was involved in clinical research with invasive endoscopy and ERCP. Since 2020, he has been the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal “Achaiki Iatriki”.
