Raed M Al-Zoubi is a Senior Research Scientist at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). He is an associate professor of Bioorganic Chemistry at Jordan University of Science and Technology. He is also a fellow of the University of Waterloo and an adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences. He is an author of over 60 different publications and highlights as well as 4 patent publications. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Alberta/Canada in 2011. He is currently the lead of the biomedical/basic science research unit at the Surgical Research Section at HMC. He is a member of the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC), Canada.

Ahmad Zarour is currently a Senior Consultant Surgeon at Hamad Medical Corporation, where he also holds the positions of Head of the Corporate Acute Care Surgery Department and Executive Director for Corporate Surgical Services. His educational background includes completing a residency in General Surgery in Jordan in 2000, followed by board certification in the same field that year. In 2004, he earned a Diploma in Laparoscopy from Strasbourg University Hospital, France, and in 2010, he completed a Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (since 2000) and the American College of Surgeons (since 2008). His clinical focus encompasses General and Laparoscopic Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, and Acute Care Surgery, with a particular interest in Emergency Surgery. Additionally, he has extensive experience in change management and clinical transformation.
Zain Z. Zakaria is Section Head of Clinical Appointment at Qatar University. She gained a Bachelor of Applied Science at the Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1999, a Master's degree at the University of Jordan in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at Qatar University in 2020. Her main research interest is the application of the tools and techniques of molecular biology in health and disease issues.
Aksam Yassin is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology and runs his own Institute of Urology and Andrology in Norderstedt-Hamburg, Germany. He is serving as a member of the German Exam Board for Urology, Andrology and Medical Oncology. He received a primary medical qualification with an MD degree at Damascus University, Syria, in 1980. He obtained PhD degree in medical sciences at Hamburg University. He received a PhD degree in education at the University of Sarasota (today: Argosy University) in 1996. He served as an adjunct professor for human sexuality in the clinical psychology program as a visiting professor at the College of Behavioural Sciences for four years. Since 2000, he has been a faculty member and full Professor of Urology at the Gulf Medical University School of Medicine, Ajman/UAE, and he simultaneously serves as Vice President for Institutional Advancement. He has written 4 books, published 61 original articles, contributed as co-author in another 66, and composed 7 chapters in 4 books.
Abdulla Al-Ansari is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland Medical School. He was trained in the U.K. and Qatar in the field of urology but has worked in other specialties such as trauma and orthopedics before choosing his specialization in Urology. He became the head of the Urology Section in 2004. In 2008, he became the Assistant to the Chairman of Surgery, and in the same year, he was promoted to Chairman of Surgery. He took full charge of all 12 surgical specialties across the five hospitals of the corporation. Furthermore, he became an Associate Professor of Clinical Urology at Weill Cornel Medical School in Qatar, and he is a Director at QSTP for Robotic Surgery. He is a pioneer of robotic surgery in Qatar. He is currently the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Surgical Services at Hamad Medical Corporation.
Maha Al-Asmakh is an associate professor and is currently the Head of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the College of Health Sciences at Qatar University. She has a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences (with honors) from Qatar University and a master’s degree in human reproductive biology from Imperial College London. She received her doctorate from Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, and is certified by the American Board of Cytopathology from the American Society of Clinical Pathology. She is currently an educator specializing in teaching courses on embryology and developmental biology at the College of Health Sciences. Her expertise in the field of research has also resulted in many scientific publications.
Hiba Bawadi is a professor in human nutrition and dietetics and is the director of strategic development at QU-HEALTH. She is also the head of clinical training at the College of Health Sciences. She obtained her PhD from Louisiana State University in 2004 and then moved to Jordan University of Science and Technology before joining Qatar University in 2014. She has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles.
