Dr. Anna Borgenvik is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Lund University, Sweden. She then earned her MSc in Medicine in 2014 with a degree project focused on BET and CDK2 inhibition in MYC/N-driven medulloblastoma. Anna did her doctoral studies on MYC-driven medulloblastoma focusing on improving treatment and understanding relapse mechanisms with Dr Fredrik Swartling at Uppsala University. She earned her PhD at the Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology at Uppsala University in 2021. Her scientific interest spans pediatric brain tumors and in particular pediatric gliomas.

Dr. Fredrik J. Swartling is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatric Brain Tumor Biology at the Department of Immunology, Genetics, and Pathology at Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. He earned, from Uppsala University, a Master of Science in Pharmacy (1999) and a PhD in Genetics and Pathology (2006). In 2010, he completed his Postdoctoral Fellow studies in Neurology, Pediatrics, and Neurosurgery at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, San Francisco, CA, USA. His research topics mainly include brain tumor recurrence, cancer development, glioma, medulloblastoma, MYC signaling pathways, and neural stem cells.
