Dr. Arthi Sridhar is a Thoracic Oncology Fellow at Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. She earned her M.D. from MS Ramaiah Medical College. She completed her residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She is interested in pursuing a career in thoracic oncology and sickle cell disease. Her interests also include socioeconomic disparities in oncologic care.
Dr. Binoy Yohannan is a fellow at the Department of Hematology, Mayo Clinic. He graduated with honors from the Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute in 2013. He has over 11 years of diverse experience in the medical field, especially in hematology.
Dr. Kok Hoe Chan is the Hematology/Oncology Chief Fellow at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He received his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Malaya and his Medical degree from Perdana University Graduate School of Medicine. He completed his residency at New York Medical College. His research interests are on the molecular profiling and genomic/epigenomic landscapes of solid tumors. He has a particular interest in dissecting the complex molecular landscapes of solid tumors to facilitate the screening, detection, and personalized treatment with targeted therapy. He is also interested in qualitative research—exploring the perception and acceptance of patients on new diagnostic tests and treatments.
Dr. Syed Jafri is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Oncology at UTHealth McGovern Medical School. He received his medical degree from The Aga Khan University in 2001. He completed his residency at Indiana University in 2006 and a fellowship at Louisiana State University in 2009. He stayed as the faculty at Louisiana State University for 4 years and developed the Thoracic/Head and Neck Oncology program. He has been a principal investigator of several cooperative groups, industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials involving Lung and Head and Neck Cancers. He has also been involved in basic science lung cancer research. His current area of interest is inflammation in cancer. He pursued an extra fellowship in Integrative Medicine from The Arizona Center of Integrative Medicine under the directorship of Dr. Andrew Weil. He started a very popular integrative medicine program at Louisiana State University. He joined UTHealth oncology in November 2013.
