Brooke Starkoff is a registered dietitian and clinical Associate Professor at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, The Ohio State University. Brooke Starkoff earned a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from The Ohio State University in 2013. Brooke Starkoff’s professional areas of interest include obesity in youth, plant-based nutrition, physical activity, and cardiovascular health. Brooke Starkoff dives into the impact of sedentary behavior and plant-based nutrition on the cardiovascular health of youth, and is particularly interested in how lifestyle factors contribute to the development of chronic diseases and how targeted interventions can help to prevent or mitigate these outcomes.
Elizabeth Lenz received her Ph.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2011. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Kinesiology, SUNY Brockport. Her research interests include the following: the impact of physical activity and sedentary behavior on health across the lifespan, the measurement of physical activity and sedentary behavior, the nutritional impact on exercise recovery, and nutrition knowledge and access.
Amanda Shearer is an Instructor in the Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies and Physical Education at SUNY Brockport. She received her BS from SUNY Brockport, earned her MS from East Stroudsburg University, and became a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist at the American College of Sports
Medicine in 2005. She is a member of the Clinical Exercise Physiology Association. Her areas of specialty include clinical exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, corporate wellness, and sports nutrition.
