Dr. Malene Broholm is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Infectious Disease, Copenhagen University Hospital, Hvidovre Hospital. She obtained her PhD from the Zealand University Hospital in 2023. She served as a resident at the Department of Surgery, Nykøbing Falster Hospital in 2017 and at the Department of Surgery, North Region of Denmark in 2015. Her research focuses on inflammatory and immune response and the association with cancer development.
Ása Didriksen Apol, MD, has been a PhD student at the Department of Infectious Diseases, University
Hospital Copenhagen, Hvidovre, Denmark since 2021. She obtained a master’s
degree in medicine from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2016. Her
research interests are focused on the study of hepatitis B virus infection. She
is a member of the Danish Society for Infectious Diseases.
Professor Dr. Nina Weis is currently a professor in infectious disease at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She has been a senior physician at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Copenhagen University Hospital since 2012. She completed her PhD studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Copenhagen in 1992. She is highly respected within the field of HBV infection with more than 20 years of experience as a researcher.
