Dr. Nicholas Geremia is a medical doctor in Infectious Diseases at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Ospedale Dell’Angelo. Dr. Giorgia Caruana is a Medical Doctor, specialized in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, currently working in  Lausanne University Hospital, partly at the Institute of Microbiology and partly in the Service of Infectious Diseases. Her main research interests focus on antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, antimicrobial resistence, rapid diagnostic and antimicrobial susceptibility testing and diagnosis and treatment of blood stream infections.

Dr. Sandro Panese has been working at the Infectious Diseases Departments of Venice and Mestre since 1992, and he has been director of these Departments, now part of Ospedale Dell’Angelo–Azienda ULSS 3 Serenissima, since 2017. His main area of interest are viral infections, particularly HIV infection, and hepatitises. He has been involved in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic from the very beginning, February 2020, and also as a member of the Crisis Unit of AULSS3 Serenissima. His research interests include HIV, Infectious Diseases, Drug Resistance, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Infectious Disease Medicine, and Hepatitis Viruses.
Prof. Saverio Giuseppe Parisi, Pediatrician of infectious Diseases, is a Full Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Padua and deals with pathogenesis and markers of progression and response to therapy, with a particular focus on viral infections, and nosocomial infections. He obtained a Degree with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 1984 at Rome La Sapienza, specialized with honors in Infectious Diseases in 1995, and Pediatrics in 1988 at the Rome Tor Vergata. He deals with prognostic markers and replicative capacity of HIV isolates, genotypic and phenotypic analysis of strains and resistance to therapy, compartmentalization of resistant strains with reduced fitness, analysis of resistance mutations in patients with discordant response to therapy, prognostic markers of response to therapy and replicative capacity of HIV in naïve patients or those undergoing treatment with antiretroviral drugs, etc.
