Jorge Luis Costafreda Mustelier has a PhD in Geological Engineering and is a Professor at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas y Energía. Departamento de Ingeniería Geológica y Minera. Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He is a specialist in several fields related to Geology, Geochemistry and Prospecting of metallic and non-metallic mineral deposits. He is an expert in the characterisation, standardisation, and application of sustainable natural materials, such as pozzolans, zeolites, clays, and natural stone. He is a member of the Environmental Studies Research Group of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

Domingo Alfonso Martín Sánchez has a PhD in Geological Sciences and Professor at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas y Energía. Departamento de Ingeniería Geológica y Minera. Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He is a specialist in fields related to Geology, Geochemistry, Sedimentology, Drilling, and Applied Geophysics. He is the Managing Director of the Laboratorio Oficial de Ensayos de Materiales de Construcción (LOEMCO) in Spain. He is an expert in prospecting projects, hydrogeology and educational innovation, and is a member of the Environmental Studies Research Group of the ETSIME-UPM.

He is a specialist in Engineering Projects. He is the Head of the Technical Department of the Project Company "Pico Cristal" in La Habana (Cuba). He has expertise in construction materials and road construction projects.

José Luis Parra y Alfaro is has a Doctorate in Mining Engineering. He is a Professor at the Departamento de Ingeniería Geológica y Minera since 1995, belonging to the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas y Energía (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid). Previously, he was the Director of LOEMCO (Laboratorio Oficial para Ensayo de Materiales de Construcción) and Director of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas y Energía (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid). Currently, he is the Director of the Spanish Environmental Club. His field of teaching and research focuses on mineral resources, especially with regard to characterisation and industrial applications.
