Prof. Dr. Gabriela Trevisan is currently a professor of the Graduate Program in Pharmacology and Graduated Program in Biological Science: Toxicological Biochemistry at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). She develops and directs projects that aim to observe the involvement of TRP channel (TRPA1 and TRPV1) in headaches in migraine and also in pain observed in cancer, multiple sclerosis, and complex regional pain syndrome. She has experience in the area of Pharmacology and Biochemistry, with emphasis on the pharmacology of inflammation and pain, acting on the following topics: TRPA1, TRPV1, neuropathic pain, headache in migraine, cancer pain, multiple sclerosis pain, and complex regional pain syndrome.
