Dr. Ester Orlandi is a Chief of Clinical Department of the
CNAO Foundation (National Center of Oncological Hadrontherapy) of Pavia. She is
also a Medical Director at S.C. Oncological Radiotherapy 1 and 2, IRCCS
Foundation. Dr. Ester Orlandi completed her degree in Medicine and Surgery at
the University of Milan in 2000, and earned a Specialist Diploma in Oncological
Radiotherapy from Bicocca University of Milan in 2004. During July 2024, she
had a training at the University Hospitals Gasthuisberg (Belgium), and at
Department of Radiotherapy, Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc, UCL, Medical
School (Belgium). Dr. Ester Orlandi has published 219 papers in various
journals, receiving more than 2700 citations (Scopus, April 2024). Her research
interests include Oncology, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine & Medical Imaging,
Otorhinolaryngology, Dentistry, Oral Surgery & Medicine Surgery.
Dr. Emilia Pecori has been Medical Director at the Complex Structure of Oncological Radiotherapy 1, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori of Milan since 2018, where she carries out her clinical and scientific activity in the sector of radiation treatment of pediatric tumors, adolescents, and young adults with tumors typical of pediatric age and adult lymphomas. In 1999 she obtained a degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Siena, where in 2003 she obtained a specialization diploma in Oncological Radiotherapy. She has developed skills and experience in clinical care procedures, planning, and administration of radiation treatment for pediatric patients. She has also gained experience in the field of radiation treatment of adult lymphomas, including total body irradiation (TBI).
Dr. Maura Massimino is the Director of the Pediatric Unit at the
Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori. She graduated from the Faculty of
Medicine, University of Milan with 110/110 cum laude in 1987, the same
university where she also earned the Specialty Board in Hematology and the
Specialty Board in Pediatrics. Dr. Maura Massimino has published over 420
papers in various journals, receiving more than 10,900 citations, with an
h-index of 52 (Scopus, April 2024). Her research activity focuses on cerebral
neoplasms, lymphomas of the pediatric age, and the side effects of oncological
therapies in the pediatric age.
Dr. Andrea Ferrari has been working since 1994 at the
Pediatric Oncology Unit of the Istituto Nazionale Tumori of Milan, where he is
the person responsible for the Outpatient Service. He tackled research projects
dedicated to soft tissue sarcomas, pediatric rare tumors and adolescents/young
adults projects. He worked as chair of various international cooperative
groups, developing a large experience in leading and coordinating
multidisciplinary working team. In the last years, he devoted himself also to
the special needs of adolescents and young adults (AYA) with
cancer. He developed the "Youth Project" in his center.
He is author or co-author of more than 500 papers
published on international scientific journals, and 45 book chapters.
