Christian Riccio is currently pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II. His research emphasizes the application of data science in transportation engineering, with particular focus on Mobility as a Service (MaaS). Prior to this, he completed his Master’s degree in Data Science at the same university, building a strong foundation for his current research endeavors. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, where he first developed his analytical skills and passion for scientific inquiry.
Angelo Martone graduated in Informatics Engineering at Department of Information Engineering of the “Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli”. He currently works as a researcher within the Laboratory of Knowledge Management & Digital Resouces of the Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA). His research activities mainly lie in the area of System and Software Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Real-Time Stream Processing, Semantic Web, and High-Performance Computing.
Gaetano Zazzaro is a data scientist with a Mathematics degree from the University of Naples Federico II. His thesis was on Cybernetics, focusing on Natural Language Processing and Text Mining. Since 2008, he has been a researcher at the Italian Aerospace Research Centre (CIRA). He leads the Laboratory of 'Data Science for Research Facilities.' His research focuses on Machine & Statistical Learning and Data Mining, with applications in predictive modeling for the company's industrial plants. He specializes in Transfer Learning and Explainable Machine Learning, using meta-learning techniques. He has applied Data Science in supervised and unsupervised learning across various fields, including meteorology, seismology, astrophysics, epidemiology, biomedicine, neurology, energy, and aeronautical maintenance. He develops algorithms and models for analyzing large volumes of streaming time-series data and designs frameworks for online data processing. He works with ensemble algorithms for multiview clustering and fuzzy cluster analysis to optimize data aggregation results quickly. His interests also include theoretical AI, human–machine interactions, logic, and the philosophy of mathematics.
