Gabriele Donati (Doctor of Medicine) is currently working as an assistant professor at the Università Degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, Department of Surgery, Medicine and Dentistry. He has been a Director (Nephrology Dialysis and Renal Transplantation Unit) at Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Modena since 2021. He received an M.D. and Ph.D. (Nephrology, Dialysis, and Renal Transplantation) degree from the IRCCS Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna Policlinico S Orsola-Malpighi. His research is focused on the development of original projects aimed at the modernization of dialysis techniques with the study of new membranes to be used for nephropathic patients and the development of innovative dialyzers for patients with liver disease and hemato-oncology. His skills and expertise include hemodialysis, chronic renal failure, kidney transplantation, and acute kidney injury.
