Dr. Vincenzo Sucato currently is a Cardiology Researcher at the Department of Health Promotion, Mother and Child Care, Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties, University of Palermo. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Palermo. Since 2022, he has been a Professor of cardiovascular medicine in post-graduate medical school in cardiovascular diseases and on a nursing degree course at the University of Palermo. He is a Fellow of the Italian Society of Cardiology. Currently, he works as an Interventional Cardiologist at the University Hospital Paolo Giaccone in Palermo. His research interests are coronary microvascular dysfunction, cardiovascular prevention, percutaneus coronary intervention, acute and chronic coronary syndrome.
Prof. Dr. Alfredo Ruggero Galassi is the Chair of Cardiovascular Diseases, Department of Health Promotion, Mother and Child, Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties (ProMISE), University of Palermo. He is also an Honorary Consultant of Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust in London, UK. He is the Founder of the Euro CTO Club, and a Fellow of FACC, FESC, FSCAI, GISE, ANMCO, and SIC. His research interests are chronic total occlusion (cto); coronary microvascular dysfunction; myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (minoca); ischemia with non-obstructive coronary arteries (inoca); microvascular angina; and vasospastic angina.
Prof. Dr. Giuseppina Novo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health Promotion, Mother and Child Care, Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties, University of Palermo. She completed her Ph.D. studies in Pathophysiology of Metabolism, Lipids, and Lipoproteins at the University of Palermo. She has been the Medical Director of the Cardiology Unit, University Hospital P. Giaccone, Italy, since 2020. Her research interests are focused on the study of cardiomyopathy; takotsubo syndrome; and cardiotoxicity.
