Author Biographies

Mohamed Yasser was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1997. He received a B.Sc degree in computer engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Alexandria, Egypt in 2020. He was a Software Engineering Intern at Bibliotheca Alexandrina from August 2019 to September 2019. He was a Teaching Assistant post-graduation at the AASTMT College of Computer Engineering in Alexandria, Egypt, from October 2020 to February 2022. He then worked as a Software Engineer at eSpace in Alexandria, Egypt, from February 2022 to February 2023. Since February 2023, he has been a Teaching Assistant at the AASTMT College of Artificial Intelligence in El-Alamein, Egypt. His research interests are in artificial intelligence and robotics.
Omar Shalash is an assistant professor at the AASTMT College of Artificial Intelligence. He received his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from AASTMT, Alexandria, Egypt in 2010, and he earned his M.Sc. in 2013. He received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Strathclyde University, Scotland, in 2018. His PhD research work included the design and development of autonomous robotic machines for knee arthroplasty. Dr. Shalash’s research groups are currently working on joint projects related to developing a social platform for musicians with real-time jamming along with many other features and another project in which machine learning techniques are used to diagnose autistic children.
Ossama Ismail is the Founding Dean of the ”Regional Informatics Center” at AASTMT, The idea of establishing the Regional Informatics Center (RIC) originated from the desire to catch up with the advanced development in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and competitive programming, The main purpose is to help in promoting the minds and talents of the MENA region’s students, and the necessity of creating a broad base of distinguished students who can catch up with the increasing acceleration in the development of informatics and robotics worldwide. Prof. Ismail is currently the AASTMT president’s Advisor for informatics and international competitions, as well as the Regional Contest Director of the International Collegiate Programming Contest in the Middle East and Africa, also the Chairman of ROV Under the auspices of Marine Advanced Technology Institute and is a board member at EOI, IOI, ROV, ICPC, and ACPC.
