Jung-Mi Hah is currently working at the Department of Pharmacy at Hanyang University and lectures on organic pharmacology and medicinal chemistry. She graduated from Seoul National University College of Pharmacy in 1994, earned a master’s degree from the same graduate school (1996), and then earned a doctorate in science from Northwestern University in the United States (2002). After earning her doctorate, her postdoc training was under Professor David Lawrence at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she was exposed to the chemical biology aspects of protein dinase. Prof. Jung-Mi Hah’s research interests mainly include medicinal chemistry, which involves designing new drugs to better fit the receptors on which they act (receptor proteins, enzymes, DNA, etc.) and producing them through organic synthesis.
