I completed a Ph.D. in marine biology at Pukyong National University. My subject was the life cycle and ecology of marine mysid, Archaeomysis kokuboi, first Investigating. I am a professor in the Department of Life Science and biotechnology at Soonchunhyang University since March 1996. Major research areas include the population dynamics among the tidal flat environment and ecosystem communities and marine biota as well as the relationship between marine benthos and the environment. I have more than 30 years of Research experiences. I supervised the president of the Korean Society of Fisheries and Aquatic Science from 2019 and the adviser to the local government involving in decision-making on marine fisheries. I am the Dean of Marine Biotechnology in Graduate School, Soonchunhyang University (2010-present) and Guest Research Scientist of Chungnam Development Institute (2007-present).
