Dr. Simona Dima obtained her Ph.D. from Ovidius University of Constanța in 2006. She is now a Scientific Researcher at the Fundeni Clinical Institute, Bucharest, Romania. Over the last decade, she has focused her studies on the oncogenic research of pancreatic cancer, colangiocarcinoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma, and she has been involved in clinical correlative studies. She was part of a team of researchers from the National Cancer Centre Singapore, Duke-NUS Medical School, and Koen Kaen University.
Dr. Vlad Herlea, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor of Patology at Carol Davila University of Medicine, Bucharest, Romania. He graduated from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. He was a medical fellow for two years at the Medical College of Georgia (Cellular Biology Department), USA, between 1995 and 1997. Since 2003, he has been the coordinator of the pathology department of Fundeni Clinical Institute. He received his PhD degree in 2007 with the doctoral thesis “Experimental and morphometrical assay in ductal pancreatic carcinoma”. He is a member of the European Society of Pathology (ESP), the Romanian Society of Normal and Patological Morphology, the Romanian Society of Pathology, the Romanian Association for Liver Study, and the Romanian Foundation for Liver Surgery.

Dr. Radu Dumitru is a Senior Interventional Radiologist at Fundeni Clinical Institute, Bucharest, Romania. He obtained a doctorate in Radiology from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2015. He has experience with oncologic pathology and liver transplantation in diagnostic and minimally invasive treatment for complications after surgery.
Dr. Adina Emilia Croitoru is a consultant in medical oncology with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She is head of the medical oncology department at Fundeni Clinical Institute, Bucharest, Romania. She is also an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Titu Maiorescu University. She earned a doctorate from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2012. Her main area of interest is gastrointestinal cancer. She is the Vice President of the Romanian Digestive Oncology Society (SROD) and a member of seven national and six international professional societies.
