Natticha Sumneang is currently a Lecturer on Physiology in the Department of Medical Science, School of Medicine, Walailak University, Thailand. She holds an MSc (Physiology) and a Ph.D (Physiology) from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She conducts research in in vitro and in vivo with special interest in cardiovascular physiology, alternative medicine, and drug development involving cellular and molecular physiological mechanisms.
Komsak Pintha is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at the Division of Biochemistry, School of Medical Sciences, University of Phayao, Thailand. He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, Thailand in 2016. He has been working on several research projects focused on natural product extractions, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of plant extracts, cancer cell metastasis prevention, cancer chemotherapeutic drug resistance mechanism, and biochemistry of cosmeceuticals from natural compounds.
Dr. Sarawut joined the department of Pathology at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital in 2006, after successfully completing his Anatomic Pathology Residency from the faculty of Medicine at Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He also received his M.D. from the faculty of Medicine at the Chiang Mai University. His primary interest is in pathology of the gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary tract and pancreas. He completed a research fellowship in anatomical pathology at the Nara Medical University in 2009 and Nippon Medical School in 2011, also in Japan. Then he took a research fellowship in molecular pathology at the department of Pathology and Cell Biology, Columbia University Medical Center at New York, United States in 2016-2018. Dr. Sarawut served as an assistant professor in anatomic pathology and is currently deputy head of department of the department of Pathology at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He also has served on numerous committees for the faculty of Medicine since 2006. He has co-authored several publications stemming from his work as an experienced anatomical pathologist.
Professor Emeritus Dr. Maitree Suttajit is from the School of Medical Sciences, University of Phayao, Thailand. His educational background is in chemistry, biochemistry and toxicology. He graduated in BSc. (Chemistry Hons), Chulalongkorn University, 1960; MSc (Biochemistry), Mahidol University, 1962, and PhD in Biochemistry from the SUNY/AB, USA, 1971. He worked at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University (CMU), Thailand (1971-2000). He became Associate Dean for research receiving an outstanding teaching award in 1997 from CMU. In 1998, he was awarded the royal honor and insignia of “The Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand”. After retirement, he became a visiting professor in the Faculty of Science, MSU (2002-2006) and was the Dean of the School of Medical Sciences, University of Phayo (2006-2016). He is the founding President of the Society for Free Radical Research (SFRR-Thai) and a member of the Society of Thai Toxicology and the Genetics Society of Thailand.
Napapan Kangwan has Master’s degree in Physiology from Chiang Mai University, Thailand (2004) and a PhD in Pharmacy from the CHA University, the Republic of Korea (2015). She is currently an Assistant Professor of Physiology at the Division of Physiology, School of Medical Sciences, University of Phayao, Thailand. She also has served as head of division of physiology, the School of Medical Sciences, University of Phayo. Her current research interests include gastroenterology, cancer prevention, obesity-related intestinal diseases, gut microbiota, and natural product extract on health promotion. She has co-authored several publications stemming from her work as an experienced GI physiologist.
