Author Biographies

Prof. Dr. Hans Peter Nilles is a Senior Professor at the University of Bonn, Bonn, Germany. He is also a Co-founder of the Center for Science and Thought. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Bonn in 1978. From 2008 to 2018, he served as a Director of the Bethe Center for Theoretical Physics at the University of Bonn. His research activities concentrate on theoretical elementary particle physics at the intersection of physics and cosmology. This includes physics beyond the Standard Model in the context of supersymmetry, supergravity, grand unified theory, and string theory.
