Dr. Christina Tamargo completed her medical school training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. She completed her Internal Medicine residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Osler Residency Program and is now a Nephrology fellow at Johns Hopkins. She plans to pursue a career in academic nephrology and has interests in medical education and program leadership.
Dr. Carmen Elena Cervantes completed her medical school training at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency training at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Miami, and she completed a Nephrology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Cervantes currently serves as a faculty member in the Division of Nephrology at Johns Hopkins and is a member of the Amyloid Center at Johns Hopkins University. Her areas of interest are amyloidosis, paraproteinemias, hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, education and quality improvement.
