Guanglei Zhang is a
Professor at the National Engineering Research Center for Colloidal Materials, Shandong
University. He received his Bachelor’s degree in inorganic non-metallic
materials from Yanshan University in 2000 and earned a Ph.D. in materials
science from Beijing University of Technology in 2005. He served as a Lecturer in
inorganic non-metallic materials (2005–2007), an Associate Professor (2007–2013),
and a Professor (2013–2023) at Shijiazhuang Tiedao University. After that, he
joined Shandong University in 2023. His main research interests focus on aerogels;
metamaterials; and advanced ceramic materials.
