Dr. Edoardo Vespa is a Gastroenterologist at the Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy Unit of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, Milan, Italy. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2017 at the University of Catania and subsequently specialized in Gastroenterology in 2022 at Humanitas University. At the end of his specialization, he carried out a period of training and research at the Esophageal Center of the Northwestern University of Chicago, a pioneer center in the field of esophageal diseases and high-resolution esophageal manometry, studying the most recent techniques for identifying esophageal motility, including EndoFLIP. His clinical activity, in addition to the main gastroenterological pathologies, focuses with particular interest on diseases of the esophagus, such as achalasia, eosinophilic esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatus hernia, esophageal motility disorders, dysphagia, and swallowing. In addition to performing diagnostic and operative esophagogastroduodenoscopies and colonoscopies, he takes care of the diagnostic outpatient activity of the Digestive Physiopathology Functional Unit (high-resolution manometry, 24-hour pH-impedance measurement). He is the author and co-author of more than 30 scientific articles (Scholar) published in indexed journals. He constantly participates as a speaker at national and international conferences and conferences in the sector.
Dr. Sandro Passaretti is responsible for the Functional Unit of Digestive Physiopathology at the Operational Unit of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital and collaborates at the Casa di Cura La Madonnina in Milan.
