YOU Yuan, female, PhD, is currently working at the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as an as an associate professor. Her research interests include desertification prevention and control, environmental management of desertification, and differences in policies and regulations on desertification prevention and control. She is also responsible for the coordination and liaison of the Pan-African Green Great Wall. Participated in the completion of more than ten projects (hosted 2) and the publication of more than 30 related papers.

ZHOU Na, PhD, is currently working at the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as an assistant researcher. During her doctoral study, she mainly studied the spatio-temporal pattern and driving factors of desertification in Mauritania, West Africa. In recent years, she has mainly engaged in research on desertification control in the Great Green Wall of Africa. Participated in the completion of more than ten projects (hosted two) and the publication of more than 10 related papers.

WANG Yongdong is a doctor, senior engineer, and master's supervisor and is currently the deputy director of the National Desert Oasis Ecological Construction Engineering Technology Research Center. One belt, one road, is the research area of desertification control and ecological construction. It focuses on the application of basic theory in ecological engineering construction and sustainable development in desert areas, ecological restoration and reconstruction in the engineering disturbance area, and international cooperation on desertification control in the "one belt" road area. Wang Yongdong has presided over and participated in more than 20 national, provincial, and ministerial projects (two projects for the National Natural Science Foundation), won a second prize for scientific and technological progress of the autonomous region, two collective awards of the state and the Academy of Sciences, and published nearly 30 articles.
