Dr. Du’s research involves genetics and outcomes studies in cerebrovascular diseases.
Dr. Alfred P. See is a pediatric neurosurgery fellow at Boston Children's Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. Early in medical school, he was introduced to neurosurgery via work in glioma immunotherapy. During his residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital, he was drawn to the novel endovascular applications for cerebrovascular disease. He spent time in adult and pediatric endovascular neurosurgery, first at Boston Children's and Brigham, and then at Barrow Neurological Institute and a year at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Dr. See now focuses on pediatric neuro-interventions and cerebrovascular surgery. His interests continue to relate to the intersection of these two approaches, in hybrid cerebrovascular surgery and in flow-guided neuro-intervention and cerebrovascular surgery.
Dr. Pier Paolo Peruzzi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurosurgery. He holds an appointment as an attending clinical neurosurgeon, as well as a principal investigator in the neuro-oncology research laboratories at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Peruzzi works together with a dedicated support team to provide the best, most timely and compassionate care to patients suffering from neurological disorders, particularly malignant brain tumors. Dr. Peruzzi leads a molecular biology laboratory focused on basic research to find a cure for malignant brain tumors and is also involved in multiple clinical trials for the treatment of brain tumors at the BWH, including oncolytic virotherapy and the use of novel microdevices to guide personalized chemotherapy to patients with brain cancers.
