Author Biographies

Miruna Maria Apetroaei concluded her studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, in September 2022, achieving a final grade of 9.94 out of 10. Subsequently, she started her residency studies in General Pharmacy specialization in November 2022. In 2023, M.M. Apetroaei was admitted to the Ph.D. program, where she also secured a fully funded position with a scholarship. Her academic involvement further expanded in October 2023 when she assumed the role of an Associate University Assistant in the Department of General and Pharmaceutical Microbiology at UMFCD, engaging in hands-on instruction for second-year pharmacy students.
Prof. Dr. Bruno Ștefan Velescu is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2006, his Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2013, and his master’s degree in biotechnologies in pharmaceutic industries in 2016. He has worked at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy since 2007 and has served as a Graduate Assistant, Assistant lecturer, Lecturer, and Associate Professor. He is a secretary at the Ministerial Committee of Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Toxicodependence, a member of the Ministerial Committee of Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Toxicodependence, and a Member of the document approval committee.
Nedea (Ilie) Marina Ionela is a 3rd year Ph.D. student with a specialization in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Department of General and Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania. Since October 2019, she has been an Associate Teacher in the Department of General and Pharmaceutical Microbiology. She received a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, in September 2019. She is also a clinical pharmacist with experience in community pharmacy and clinical pharmacy.

Prof. Dr. Doina Draganescu graduated in 1988 from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy. She is currently involved in professional activities at the Horia Hulubei Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (Magurele) at the Radiopharmaceutical Research Center. Since 2017, she has been a Qualified Person in the field of drug production of radiopharmaceuticals and a member of the research team of the center as auxiliary personnel, being a member of the research team in several projects realized in collaboration with the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Bioethics Commission of the Academy of Medical Sciences and is currently Vice President; she is involved in the evaluation of clinical trial applications in Romania, subject to compliance with the Declaration of Human Rights, as well as all specific regulations. She has been a member of the Romanian Pharmacists’ College and of the Pharmaceutical Society of Romania since 1990, a member of the National Society of Chemistry, National Society of History of Pharmacy, and other professional societies in Romania or abroad. Her professional interests include medical and pharmaceutical technologies, homeopathic medicines, and radiopharmaceuticals (graduated European Course of Radiopharmacy EANM).

Prof. Dr. Denisa Ioana Udeanu holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy and is a Professor in the Clinical Laboratory and Food Safety Department in the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. She obtained a Master of Science degree at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Biology in 2012, a Master of Science (MSc) degree at the Romanian Academy, Institute of Biochemistry, Normal Superior School, Master of Biological Chemistry in 2012, a Ph.D. degree at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2009, and a Habilitation degree at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2019. She started working at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2002 and has served as an Associate Professor (2016–Present), Lecturer (2011–2016), Teaching Assistant (2005–2011), and Junior Teaching Assistant (2002–2005). She is a Member of the Romanian Chemical Society, the Romanian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences, the College of Pharmacists from Romania, and the Romanian Association of Hospital Pharmacists.
Prof. Dr. Andreea Letiția Arsene is a Professor in the Discipline of General Microbiology and Pharmaceuticals, Faculty of Pharmacy, UMF Carol Davila, Bucharest. She obtained a bachelor's degree at the UMF Carol Davila Bucharest, Faculty of Pharmacy in 2001 and a Ph.D. degree at the Carol Davila Bucharest, Faculty of Pharmacy in 2008. Since 2002, she has worked at UMF Carol Davila Bucharest, serving as a University Trainer (2002–2004), a University Assistant (2004–2007), a Supervisor (2007–2013), a Lecturer (2013–2019), and a Professor (2019–Present). She is a member of the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS), the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), the International Society of History of Pharmacy (IGGP), and the Catalan Society of the Friends of History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SAHCFC-Barcelona), etc.
